The Boo Boo Kit
I wanted to show this box I made called the "Boo, Boo Kit." When you have kids always getting cuts and scrapes like mine, it's a good thing to have around.

It's a simple small storage box that I decorated. It holds everything you would need to clean up a boo boo.

I tied pretty ribbon to the top handle to remind them that I love them.

It's super easy to make and I suggest everyone have one with small kids.

Baby Must Have
Look what the UPS man brought me the other day. A little surprise from my Sister Kristen. She sent me a really cool baby carrier that I've never seen before. It's called Ergobaby Carrier. She swears that's it's the most comfortable product out there. She saw a lady wearing one at the zoo and that's how she found out about it. My Sister used it with both of her girls and now she's ordered me one.

I put Madison in this sling the other day to try it out. You know what? She's right, it is comfortable! I will be using this a lot. Madison is a bit to small to use it right now but I wanted to see how it felt on. According to the instructions manual, your baby has to weigh at least 15 pounds to properly be supported.

So I won't use it until then, but it will be perfect for when I can't use my stroller. I'll continue to hold her a little longer the old-fashioned way.

Many thanks Kristen. You know just what a girl needs.

Bubbles of Fun
Jared decided to entertain himself Sunday with some bubbles.

Somehow, the whole family got involved in this bubble blowing event. Even Johnny tried his hand at the fun while he was home.

He even filled some with smoke which were really cool and it made them easier to see.

It was a slightly, windy day and so these bubbles were going way up high in the air.

Brittany held on to Maddie while I took some pic's.

I got my baby time in too. She was knocked out and slept through the whole thing.

She stayed that way for awhile on Johnny's chest.

When she woke up, she was ready to play and looking so cute in her mint green outfit.

That was our simple Sunday. It's back to the work week now and everyone wishes it was still Summer vacation. Monday sure comes around fast.

Follow the Leader
Every weekend my Husband cuts the grass in our yard. It's a big job with that little mower and large yard. He usually spends his day off outside doing this. My Husband is never home during the week because of work so my Son never gets to spend time with him. Last weekend I looked out the window and saw him following his Dad all over the yard. Back and forth he went. I didn't know if I should be sad about this or to think it was cute. After all a boy needs his Dad and this tells me he's missing him a bunch.

Weekend Happenings
They are starting to advertise the Hover Disc again on TV. Maybe you've seen it on the commercials. My Son starting asking for it and I thought he knew we already had one before. I bought it for his Buzz Lightyear birthday party a couple years back. I guess he was 3 years old at the time so of course he doesn't remember this cool balloon. What was I thinking? I thought I had saved it and put it down in the basement to use for another time. I spent some time looking for it and was able to locate this Hover Disc for him. When I showed my Son that we already bought one like I told him, he couldn't be more thrilled. I refilled it with helium, (yes, I had a helium tank on hand that was leftover from one of the birthday parties) and it was just as good as new. Those kids played with it for hours last weekend outside. I should've brought it out of storage a long time ago. The worst part of having it outdoors was the danger of the tree's. It did get stuck high in our pine tree's twice. I thought that was the end of their fun, but we were able to get it loose thankfully.

One weekend each month my Husband host a mini-boot camp session at his office for those young Marines who have just joined. It's to prepare them for the real deal. Jared loves to watch them with their exercises and how his Daddy gets real mean with them. All the yelling doesn't seem to scare him, Jared actually enjoys this as well as the other teens who are there for this function. So Saturday there was going to be another boot camp session and my Son wanted to participate this time. I dressed him in his new cammies, cover and a Marine t-shirt like his Dad's. He looked like one of the boys from the movie, Major Payne. He looked tough and able to handle a day with the big boys. My husband said he did more then some of the other's that were there. He was impressed. I don't know if this kid will be a future Marine but he's certainly getting some good exercise from it all.

Miss Maddie as we call her these days has been getting out more. We walk every afternoon to the bus stop to pick up her big Brother & Sister from school.

She's also taking a bath now in her pink baby tub. I just love the color they come in now, don't you? Madison seems to really enjoy the warm water and usually smiles for me while getting washed up. One time I'll actually capture her on camera doing so. I'm just to slow. She is smelling baby fresh and is squeaky clean.

Hope this is a start of a great week for everyone!

Happy Madison
I don't want to make everyone think Baby Madison is crying all the time. Those last video's were not to imply that's all she does. She's a happy girl too and I took some video to prove it. So as promised, here is more video's of Happy Madison.
Here she is getting a sponge bath from big Sister Brittany. Her cord still hasn't fallen off and so she can't have a real bath yet. I think it will this weekend though. She seems pretty happy when she's clean and naked.

Back to School They Went
The two older kids headed back to school this morning. I'm anxiously awaiting their pick up to see how the day went. Hopefully they have a lot of good stories to share and they enjoy all their news friends/teachers.
This is what they looked like this morning on their first day back to school.

Brittany is headed to 8Th grade this year. Last year of middle school for her and then she'll be off to high school next. (Tear, Tear)

Jared is headed to 2ND grade this year. He is almost too big to walk to class anymore. I know he'll leave me at the door come 3rd grade. My they grow up so fast.

Isn't she growing up to be a beautiful young lady?

My handsome big boy.

Don't they look great in their new glasses? I just love them. I want a new pair now.

Even Maddie went to school today at 2 weeks old. She was asleep in her car seat the entire trip, but she was at school with the rest of them. LOL

Good-bye Summer, Hello Homework!

First Video's of Baby Madison
Video of our new baby Madison! Here are a couple from her first week of life. Sorry about the quality of these video's. They are clear on my computer, but when I upload these to photobucket, they get blurry. I'm going to have to fix that soon.
In the labor room, soon after my delivery. We are waiting to be transfered to another room. My hubby is taking cell phone pics to share with the world and the kids have been checking out their new Sister.
In my SMALL hospital room and Madison in her baby bed as we await to go home.
Brittany holding Madi while she has her nightly hiccups. (poor thing)
Giving Madison a bottle single-handed as I try to film her for her close-up.
She's just waking up from a nap. Fuzzy girl is hungry. This is what it's like when she's crying in case you wanted to know. (runs a little long, sorry it takes her a bit to wake up)
That's all I have for today. I hope it gives you all a better idea of what she's like in person for those who can't be here to meet her. Look for more to come later in the week.

Last Days of Summer Vacay
Summer is coming to an end for my older kids. They head back to school Wednesday. This weekend was one of the hot ones. They made the most of it by playing in the water outside. Good ole' fashioned fun. Just a water hose and someone to chase you with it.

Madison and I are beating the heat indoors, but it's still hot enough to look cute in our sundress'.

When the baby got out of her sundress and ready for bed I put on her little onesie that read: Miso Cute. Something that big Sister Brittany would wear because she loves all things Asian. Madison has a few of these funny onesies that I will be dressing her in the upcoming weeks. You can bet I will be taking pictures of her in them and posting them here.

Hope it's been good weather where you are and has been cooler then it has been for us.
