Smoothie Time

In the Summer, my kids and I LOVE fruit smoothies.

Since we don't have any Jamba Juice's where we live we have to make our own. I buy lots of fruits, juices and ice-creams to make these.

I try to copy their drinks as close as possible. Here's some of my favorites I make.

Mango A Go Go

Our Legoland at Home

My Son is big into building with Lego's. He just loves them. We have visited Legoland in California.....

but now his room is starting to look more like Legoland or should I say Messyland rather.

All because of these creations he's constantly building.

And then rebuilding and making something new.

These are just some of his Lego sets that help create the mess.

I need a great way to organize these little blocks. Right now we are keeping them in rubbermaid clear boxes, but that doesn't seem to help at all. If there is some better way out there to store these and keep his room looking half-way desent, please let me know. I'm needing someone's great ideas.

End of the Year Teacher's Gift

I never had the chance to blog about the gift I made for my Son's teacher. Before I start blogging about Summer, here is what I did for the end of the school year. I tried my hand at making the teachers a custom clipboard. I think it came out pretty good myself.

I used a gift bag as my inspiration and background for this project.

I added some pretty ribbon to the top.

On the back of the clipboard I personalized it with her name in stickers.

I also got her a few other goodies to go with the clipboard.

It all fit nicely in the bag.

Another happy teacher.

Pregnancy Cravings!

Everyone craves something when they are preggers. Mine happens to be "Peppermint and Chocolate." I haven't heard of anyone needing this like me. I guess I'm weird. I did however need this with my last pregnancy so I don't know what it is about this combination. Right now I can't get enough of peppermint patties and peppermint Orbit gum. One word....YUM!

I'm also been wanting more pasta sauce like on a meatball sandwich. OMGosh, I would love one right now speaking of which. Throughout this pregnancy though it's been all about chicken. Anyway I can get it, chicken, chicken, chicken is my meat of choice.

Of course my love for Starbucks Frappuccino's hasn't died either. I go there just about everyday. Isn't that terrible? I know it is for my wallet. These lil' frapps are not cheap but I just gotta have one. I can't get them off my mind if I don't.

Here I am enjoying a Carmel Frapp.

If I can't get to a Starbucks I just go to my freezer and reach for Starbucks Ice-Cream. Have you seen the pint size ice-cream they sell in the store? Oh, it's good. Coffee flavored ice cream with added chocolate chunks or caramel.

Show us your Bathroom

This week it's "Show us where you live, Bathroom edition" is now going on over at Kelly's blog. I'm joining the party late once again, but I've been a busy girl. Now that Summer is here and the kids are out of school, I'm going here and there. If we are home, then my teen daughter has taken over the computer chatting with all her friends online. Hmmmm...wonder where she gets that from? It puts me behind when it comes to blogging and I'm thinking about getting another computer so we will both be happy. Anyways, I wanted to show our bathrooms. Not very exciting, but this is what is going on in there now.

Here is the upstairs bathroom....

This bathroom is a bit more relaxing, natural looking then our other downstairs. I've had some of this palm tree decor for quite some time now and I decided to use what I had in here. I would love to make this bathroom over but haven't found the motivation to do so just yet. I'm sure once I take a look at everyone else's bathrooms over at Kelly's blog, I'll be ready to do so. For now, this is what my big bathroom looks like. I failed to take a picture of everything and will try to update this post later with them.

Our downstairs guest bathroom...

It's small and has a blue sink and tub. So I played off that color and added some black for a touch of elegance. I found the shower curtain and fell in love with the colors.

I've had this look for this bathroom for about 9 months now and although I like it, I'm ready for a change. I get bored with one look quickly I guess. I would like to make the colors blue and brown for a more subtle look. The black is very bold and I'm not feeling it so much anymore. If I find another shower curtain that includes my brown/blue I will redo this room.

More Kid Rooms

Since I shared the babies bedroom, I thought I'd show my other kids bedrooms as well. We haven't done a whole lot in their rooms I'm afraid. We have moved so many times that we usually do something new each time but at this house I haven't had the inspiration. My kids are getting older and they kind of decorate their own rooms to how they want it. I don't argue anymore. As long as it stays clean and I can walk across the floor without stepping on a Lego or dirty clothes. I'm a happy Mom.

This is my 13 year old Daughter's room. She loves anything Japanese and is a talented artist. She has decorated with lots of Asian items she's collected but still wants has a lot of toys she doesn't want to part with either. I like her bright bedspead because it brings a fun feel to the room. There is a lot of clutter to get rid of, but as soon as I clear away the junk, it comes right back again. So I almost give up on ever having this room the way I would want it. Try telling a teenager what to do with her room and you'll see what I mean. So this is what it looks like currently.

Some of her Twilight collection.

She loves Anime magazines & books.

She collects all kinds of Japanese items, just look...

Lots of posters cover her walls,

What to do with this room when my girl loves a little bit of everything?

Anyhow, here is my Son's room as it looks today. He has been through so many themes in the past. Now it's just a mixture of everything. He loves Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Pirates of the Carriabean and now Baseball. So I don't know what direction to take his room in.

What would you do with this rooms? They need help don't they? After the baby is born, maybe I'll have the energy to start decorating with some new ideas.
