Cake Boss

I fell in love with the cupcakes Brittany made for Madison. They were pink, blue & green swirled to match her party colors.

Inside the cupcake was even prettier. So many pretty layers in every bite!

We went to the park for a small celebration of Madison turning one. Her real party is on Sunday, but I wanted to do something fun on the actual day. We had pizza & cupcakes with some friends.

My three together for a birthday pic.

I have so much to do before Madison's big celebration. She's gonna be loving all the presents she'll be playing with soon.

Happy 1st Birthday Madison!

Well it's official, my baby is now ONE years old. Can you believe it? I know I can't. She has grown so fast and now we are dealing with a toddler in the home. She's still not walking, but she will chase you down in her pink princess walker. Watch out, she can run in that thing. I know she will be walking any day but for now, she's celebrating the big first birthday.

Here she is all dolled up in another fancy outfit I made her. I handmade the bow, t-shirt and tutu to match her party colors. Isn't it yummy! She was happy to model for me if she got to play with the balloons. She LOVES balloons and I think they really add to each picture.

Happy Birthday big girl! We love you so much!

We're Outta Here

We hit the road to get a jump start on some back to school shopping if you can believe that. Our trip turned into an overnight one. After a full day of shopping, we were all too tired to drive all the way home. Especially when Maddie is wanting out of the car. I called it our mini-vacay because we got a hotel room and had a lot of fun. The kids loved being some place new and we had been shopping all day so we already had extra clothes with us. We still however made a night run to Target before they closed. It's fun being in a store late like that. I use to work there and I forgot how peaceful it is that time of day. The best time to shop, but still not ideal when you have to bring three kids with you. Just because it's Summer though, they are up late anyhow so it didn't matter going shopping that time of night. We stalked up on all sorts of goodies and made it back to our hotel. Jared wished they had an X-Box and Brittany wished she had her computer, but they survived one night without their tech gear. This is some of the things we did.

We hit up Toys R Us first. There we got to see what Madison would like for her birthday.

At the Mall...Brittany got her California Roll Sushi.

Madison finally tuckered out. She was going and going all day! I thought she would never take a nap.

Jared always gets a kick outta seeing this store with his name on it.

The glorious view from our hotel room. MY FAVORITE STORES in the distance. I wished we lived there.

The next day we headed home. Tear, Tear. We did do a few more things to lift our spirits.

Jared practiced some at the batting cages

We treated ourselves to some ice-cream. Sonic is always sweeter after-dark. The new Campfire Ice-cream flavor. It does taste like a smore in a cup!

Next trip? Which way should we turn?

I think we are going to do another overnighter before school starts. It was a lot of fun and less stressful when you don't have to worry about doing all the driving in one day.

Now it's time to focus on putting together a great birthday party for Maddie. Our house is transforming, I've been busy decorating too. Pictures to come.

Cake Practice

Little Miss is turning ONE in just a couple of days. I thought it would be fun to give her a practice cake to see what she would do with it.

AFTER

I think she's got the hang of it. The girl loves her cake!

Big Brother Party

Big Brother is back. Brittany and her Cousin Dustin have been counting down the days till this premier. They love the show and planned a little party to celebrate.

Another Summer of Julie...

The teens went shopping for the food they wanted to eat while watching the show. They were making all kinds of goodies in the kitchen.

Starbucks Ice-Cream too.

Expect the unexpected. The twist this year is there is a mole among the bunch.

When the houseguest popped open their bottle of wine, they had to have their sparkling grape juice. Ha-Ha

After the show was over, they played a game of Twister? It was pretty funny to watch.

So here we go again. I don't think I'm ordering the live feeds but I will follow along when it airs on TV. The blogs pretty much show you what you don't want to miss anyhow.

We think the Mole playing this game is the Texas guy named Lane. He seems to act like he doesn't know what's going on but I believe it's all an act. Who do you think the Mole is?

All American Girl

I had some fun dressing up Madison for 4th of July this weekend. I made her a patriotic tutu and hair bow to go with her red t-shirt. Isn't she a doll? I love when she will let me dress her all up for a great photo opt.

She's a cutie! I can't wait to get her in the birthday tutu I made as well. More pictures to come!

An Eventful 4th

We've had a non-stop weekend of 4th of July activities. Most of which I did not plan for but it just happened all last minute. I got the call to go here and there, so we went. What I thought was going to be a restful weekend turned out to be full of food, fun and family.

We spent time at the park.

The kids went swimming at the pool.

We saw the evening fireworks.

Maddie and I getting ready for the show to start! She wasn't scared at all at the loud noises. It surprised me.

And BBQ some hot dogs and hamburgers with plenty of family.

Whew!.... and it's not even over yet. Jared has gone fishing with his Cousin and it's just us girls right now. We might have to sneak out and see Eclipse again at the theater. he-he

Hope your having a great weekend where you are as well.
