Show us where you live Friday~Nursery

Today is "Show us where you live Friday" over at Kelly's Korner. The many who follow her blog know just what I'm talking about. This week it's all about Nursery's and Children's rooms. So I'm gonna share a little of my babies room. No baby in there yet, but I'm working on getting it ready for her. Here's a look....

The view looking in to the bedroom.

Her cherry finish sleigh crib and pink ladybug bedding.

The wooden letters that spell out her name still need bows tied to the top of the ribbon. But I think they turned out pretty well. It's amazing what you can do with Mod Podge and scrapbook paper. I plan on making more for my other kids bedrooms as well.

The bedding in the crib

Her round night table that I covered in brown with pink/white fabric. Below the table is the stuffed animal bin I made and wicker basket I spray painted pink holds tiny toddler books.

The table just holds a princess lamp, a cute lil' froggy night light and a pretty pink frame waiting for her sweet picture.

A little bookcase that holds various baskets filled with little socks, bibs, bows, hats. On top is her first piggy bank and one of her ultra-sound pics.

Top of the changing table and beside it is our guest bed. The babies room was once just a guest room. I'm leaving the bed in there since I have no where else to store it. It might come in handy if I want to take a nap close to her crib.

A better view of the guest bed.

Inside the cabinet stores all kinds of changing supplies, lotions and potions.

Check out her personalized pacifier. I love anything with her name on it.

One of the drawers is filled with onesies, little pants, gowns, burp cloths and extra diapers.

The other drawer is filled with hooded bath towels and her shoe collection.

Here's some of her little shoes I was putting away in her dresser. Some of these are from when my 13 year old girl was born. They are still in good condition enough to pass to this one.

Her closet also doubles as storage for my craft supplies. So it's pretty full, but I do have her clothes hanging up.

The playpen will eventually be moved to the living room, but right now it's set up in her room. I just love, love these colors. I'm getting the matching stroller & car seat this week. Hopefully the swing and highchair will follow.

The little white shelf that hangs in her room. I didn't know what to hang from the hooks so I just put two cute bibs I had of hers there. One I had embroidered with her name and the other is princess.

I painted ordinary wooden frames white and added pretty scrapbook paper for an easy picture to hang on her wall.

The pretty, pink, baby bouncer I hope she'll love.

The Winnie the Pooh little baby swing I'll probably use upstairs and the big one downstairs.

The extra car seat I picked up in case we need it for another vehicle. It's filled with toys right now because I don't have another place for them all just yet.

Some pictures I hung on the wall are of tiny little yellow booties and a knitting a friend made me that I placed in the other matching frame.

That's it for now folks. This room is still a work in progress but it's looking like a babies room more everyday. Hope you enjoyed the tour.

Some of my latest creations

I've been working on new projects everyday at my craft table. I've had a lot of inspiration from other blogger friends. Everyone is just so crafty and creative that I had to do a little myself. Mainly I've been making things for baby Maddie. Here are a few things I've made.

I took a galvanized steel bucket, spray painted it white, lined it with pink & white fabric inside, added ribbon and her name on front and wah-la!

A storage bucket for her stuffed animals she'll be collecting.

Making her hand-sanitizer cute and pretty when it sits on the changing table.

Blinging out her baby pacifiers.

Sewing several pretty burp cloths.

Making cute Lil' baby signs to Welcome her to her room.

Covering baby wipe cases and giving them a little extra flare.

Lastly, decorating plain wooden letters to spell out her name on the wall above her crib.

The nursery is almost complete with all this and more. I keep find great ideas from your blogs that I know I'll be busy being a copy-cat until I deliver. Keep those crafty projects coming.

The Start of a Baby Girl's Room

I took a couple pictures of the new babies bedroom. My favorite colors are pink and chocolate, sooooo perfect for this lil' girl. Thankfully there are so many pretty baby items in these colors. It's so popular and it's a great time to have a baby if you love this theme. I have been making things for the room to. I'll be adding pic's as I go. My baby shower is this weekend and I'm sure I'll have lots to add to the room after the party.

The Crib

Cute as a Bug Bedding

Madison's first baby picture and piggy bank

Her first bib with her name on it

That's it for now. I've got lots more to take pictures of you and share with you this weekend. I will have more then.
