A little bit of Disney/Pixar magic came to Kentucky last weekend. We were so excited to see the Nemo on Ice show. The kids loved it and the costumes/effects/props were just over the top. We are so happy we went. The one foot of snow didn't stop us from going. The road conditions were dangerous but we risked everything to see our favorite fish. It was worth the trip. If you have the chance to go, you should see it. I can't wait to see Disney Princess' on Ice next.

Madison 6 Months Old
What a Big girl you are now Maddie! You are half-way to being a one year old. Oh my! Six months sure came fast. You are becoming a little person and have so much personality. You entertain us daily and light up our day with your bright smile. We are thankful you are here and have chosen to be apart of our family.
This is what you are doing now:
This is what you are doing now:
- You sit up by yourself well.
- You grab at everything and love new toys.
- You love to take baths in the big tub and splash all the water out.
- You weighed a hefty 18 1/2 lbs at your last doctors appointment.
- You love to hear yourself scream, so much so that it makes Pumpkin the Guinea Pig mad.
- Your hair is starting to grow and wear lots of pretty bows in it.
- You wear a size 2/3 diaper and 12/18 month clothes (depending on the brand).
- You love to eat pears, carrots, & applesauce. We found a piece of cardboard in your mouth the other day and I don't think you liked that as much.
- Your favorite snacks are the Gerber puffy cheese sticks and yogurt melts. Even Brittany & Jared like these and want me to buy it for them. :)
- You roll all over the place when we are not looking. We constantly ask, How did you get there?
- You can do lots of stand-up, pull-up exersizes, your legs & arms are strong.
- You suck your thumb to help you fall asleep or signal that you are hungry.
- You hate to wear socks and will work at getting them off everytime.
- You love to take pictures. You honestly smile big when you see me with the camera.
- You had three shots at your 6 months Dr. appt. and you barely cried. You were a trooper.
What the next month will bring us in your development is a good guess. I think you're going to be even more mobile and active. I'm already going to have to start child proofing the house, because anyday you will be crawling. Until then, we will just enjoy you staying still. :)

A New Floor
We just spent the last couple days having a new kitchen tile floor put down. It's been a long time coming. I hated that ugly black & white tile. It just wasn't for me and my personal style.

The floor is such an eye sore, but Madison makes it look good when she's in there.

And so does he, Mr. Jared has the girl's at his feet. Ha!

Big Brother helped babysit Maddie while there was work to be done.

Here's what it looked like before.
From this...

To this....

What an improvement, don't ya think?
Maddie is happy about it! I am too.

It's much nicer to play on as well.

It was well worth the noise, dust and headaches of this construction.

Now that the floor is done, I'm thinking about what else we can do to this place? LOL
It still needs this and that, but I'm happy for now with this big improvement.

Ready for Spring
We are all just ready for Spring to come around. It's been below freezing temperatures (we are talking single digits) for days now. The kids have been out of school for two weeks due to these conditions. School closures are happening everyday, which has made for a long Christmas break. I don't think they have been in school for almost a month. They will have to make it up at the end of the year which is bad. This might mean they will be in school till July. They'll be lucky to get a month off for Summer vacation before starting back in August. I hope we can do some traveling before the next school year starts. Anyhow, we are just hoping for a quick Spring to come upon us. We are so tired of this frigid Winter weather.
Madison is already wearing her Spring colors in hopes to be able to go outside again. She's been bundled up indoors for way to long.

Isn't she a doll? Oh and by the way, don't you just love Brittany's new comforter? It's so Spring like and Madison just loves playing on her bed. It's so comfy in there.
Pray that we see some snow melting and warmer weather this week.

Tummy Time
Maddie, Maddie, Tummy Time....

She's getting so strong, she's just about ready to do some of Daddy's push-ups. Ha-Ha!

This is what happens....
This is what happens when your older Brother gets a Nerf gun for Christmas.

You become his target!

She's okay though, she got lots of kisses from Daddy and the boys just stuck them on her head as a joke. It was pretty funny actually.

Never a dull moment around here.

Snowed In
School has been canceled all week due to the ultra-cold temps we are having here. More snow is on it's way and it's a little scary. I believe we'll be snowed in for awhile. I hope I got enough food stocked up until we can dig ourselves out. The pleasures of living on the East Coast I suppose. The kids are happy to have no school but I can see they are getting bored. Don't worry, myself being Ms.Crafty Pants has been keeping the projects coming. My hot glue gun is sure getting a lot of use this week. :) Oh and my darling hubby was able to score me a "New Moon" DVD to watch when I come out of my craft room. Don't ask me how he got it though. I don't even know the answer to that. LOL All I know is I'm a happy camper. Living in these conditions makes life much more difficult getting out but sometimes it can be a lot of fun too.
Still Talking About Christmas
I just got back some pictures from our Christmas morning at home. I know it's January and I'm still talking about Christmas. Well it takes time to get back photo's when you take them the old-fashion way. Ha! Thanks to digital, you don't have to wait anymore which I love. Anyhow, here we all are....still in our PJ's but ready enough to pose for some group pictures. My camera has been on the brink so I took some with a disposable camera as a back-up. They turned out pretty good and I'm willing to share. Enjoy!

Maddie in the Box
I had a little help from Maddie this morning. We're putting away the last of the Christmas decorations and putting them into storage for next year. She loved playing in the Rubbermaid box even more.

I purchased quite a few discounted holiday decor last week. I can't wait to put them on our new white tree I picked up along with them. It's time for a change. I just love all the colors. Target really had the best selection. I wish I could go back for more. Good-bye pretty Christmas decorations. See you next year!

She's not being packed up though. Ha! We would miss her too much. Guess she'll have to come out of there and help me with something else. There's always Mommy's laundry basket to play in all year long.
