Here, There and Everywhere.

I have been keeping so busy getting ready for Halloween and upcoming Birthday parties that I don't get a chance to blog. (Tear, Tear) I do however find the time to browse my favorites blogger pages for some really great ideas. They just inspire me to create something for my own home and then I'm busy with something else. I have a lot to share so as soon as I get my pictures uploaded I will be getting to this really soon. Until then, Hi from Here, There and Everywhere.

Pretty Colors of Halloween

Photobucket

I just love the pretty Halloween colors don't you? Especially in these M & M Candies. Almost too pretty to eat...You did notice I said, Almost! I'm going to be buying a few bags of these to use for my Daughters upcoming birthday party. She is having a Spooky Halloween Sleepover this year. I came up with the idea because last year her friends seemed to love being scared. They made up their own stories and haunts in our house at her last big sleepover. So, I said...why don't we just go all out. Like a Halloween event. Plus she is turning 13 and it's a kinda scary number if you believe in all that. Why not combine the two? I'm in the process of planning all this and crafting some great decorations. I'm gonna need some more candy for the energy I'll need!

Fall Decorating

Photobucket Image Hosting

I've started decorating a bit around my house. A cute lil pump here and there is so pretty. I love almost everything about the Fall. The colors, cooler weather, the candy, the smells, the fun and did I mention the candy? So here is just a little of what I've set out for Autumn. It's never too early in my book. That means Halloween is fast approaching. I'm always excited about that. My favorite thing right now, is my Yankee Candle Pumpkin Patch scented candle. It makes my house smell sooooo yummy! This is just SOME of the fall decor I've set out. More to come because I have several projects in the works! I've been inspired by so many other bloggers.

Product Placement

Did you ever notice how much stuff has Indiana Jones face on it? There was a lot this Summer and I just about collected it all. I typically don't do this, but because I needed stuff for my son's party, I knew it would come in handy somehow. Here is just some of the stuff I found promoting the Crystal Skull movie.

Collecting Indiana Jones Tokens

Photobucket

I'm a sucker when it comes purchasing food products just for the offer on the back. When the Indiana Jones movie came out this Summer just about everything had promotions for Indy product, didn't they. I know this happens every time a big blockbuster movie hits the screen. Cross promoting is a wonderful tool and I love it because I can find tons of things to add to my themed parties. Like I said before, I'm going to be having an Indiana Jones birthday party for my son in a couple of months. I would love to make his little dreams come true by purchasing the cool Indy Canteen offered on the back of this Pop Tarts box. What a nice gift this will make too. So you have to collect the tokens they print on specially marked boxes plus add money for shipping/handling. Thankfully it only requires two tokens for this Canteen, but now I see the DVD they have on the back of the Grips box. I may have to get that too. I'm buying lot a lot more snacks just so I can get me a token or two. Am I crazy to do this or what? I'm sure the companies thank me for my business. :)

Creating Indiana Jones Ark

Photobucket

For my Son's upcoming 7th Birthday party, we are doing a Indiana Jones themed party. I am searching for items on ebay and come across the top picture in an auction. It's a great idea for a homemade Ark. They just spray painted a white styraform ice-chest gold. So I borrowed that idea and tried to make my own. Not as great as theirs, but a heck of a lot better then trying to win this auction & pay shipping. I am the type of girl who likes to see if I can make it for cheaper. I also picked up a silver old railroad lantern and spray painted it gold too. I think it'll ad to the look of our party at least for decoration. I'm going to be turning our basement into the mummy's chamber and make it a little spooky for the kiddies. Not to over the top though. I'll have sections of my basement they can walk through to experience different scenes from the movie. I will be collecting a lot of Halloween decorations this Season. I'm so excited, because Halloween is my favorite Holiday I have to say. I don't know why because I don't like scary movies and I don't like dark/evil creatures, but it's a fun Holiday. A little scare is enjoyable. Like a haunted house. I will be adding pic's of all my projects on this new adventure of mine. The party isn't until November, but I always start early. I LOVE Planning parties like no one else. There's a lot of work to do ahead! So check back often to see what I'm up to.

New Favorite Starbucks Drink

Has anyone tried the new Vivanno blended drinks at Starbucks? They are pretty yummy! They remind me of a smoothie from Jamba Juice a little. It's full of fruit & vitamins which is great for me since I'd rather drink my fruit then eat it. :) This is the Grande Chocolate/Bannana with a shot of expresso I was enjoying today. I'm sure to go back for more real soon.

I want this Bag!

I saw this Camo/Pink Bag on one of my friends blogs. (Scrap Girlz page actually!) I love it! I want one of my own with USMC Wife name tags on the front. I checked out the girls page who makes these and there is a long waiting list. Not to mention, a bit expensive to have them custom made. So I'm thinking now of trying to make it myself instead. It probably won't look as nice, but it's worth a shot. I have name tapes and some of my husbands old Cammies. Now I just need the time to do it. If I actually make one, I will post a update here.
