My Week in Pictures

My week started with Easter! The kids all got a little something from the Easter Bunny. (Sorry the pictures are so dark, bad lighting)

This was my 1 1/2 year old's basket....

This was my 9 year old's basket....

This was my 15 year old's basket....

The Easter bunny knows exactly what each kid likes. :)

Then we went outside and Madison learned the art of collecting Easter eggs.

She got a little help from her best friend and older sister.

My cutie son collected the most eggs. He's a pro!

Later that week....

I'll huff and puff and blow your house down! That's what goes threw my head when I see this. Our minor result of that bad freakish tornado storm that hit the South. Thankfully we only had stuff blowing around our yard and poor little Madison's playhouse was blown apart.

You can see how much the wind moved it from the grass marks to the left. Crazy!

Then April 28th was my 37th birthday! Can't believe I'm this old already. {tear, tear}

Look what Starbucks sent me in the mail to cheer me up. Only since I'm one of their favorite customers.

Thank you Star $$!

Coffee and Cake Pops! A perfect combo for this birthday gal.

Lastly, my kids surprised me with homemade cupcakes decorated with their Easter candy. How smart are they to make good use of all those extra jelly beans? It really made me love them even more then I already do. I have the best kids!

That was my week in pictures. It was an eventful one to say the least. I hope next week I can get some crafting and more organizing done around here. It makes me happy!

Birthday Party at the Movies

We just celebrated my Son's 9th birthday party at our local movie theater. It's the perfect party for any kid. Especially when Dreamworks puts out another great 3D movie like Megamind. All the kids loved the film and said they would want to go back the next day to see it. I'm so glad it came out to the theaters just in time for Jared's birthday party.

Can't you just smell the popcorn from here? As an added bonus, each child and adult got a small popcorn, small coke for being apart of the party. Wow!

The party room! Plenty of space for kids and adults. I set out food on the first table, the middle was where I set up the cake, and the last table I put the presents on.

He requested a Halo cake like the video game. Well I had to get creative there because they don't make halo cakes around here. At least they don't have a kit or pan to make it from. I decided to order the Batman cake at the bakery and had them leave off the batman toy. I bought some new small Halo toys and added it to the top like they were fighting each other. I printed out a Halo picture, laminated it and stuck it in the cake so everyone knew the toys were halo. Us old folks can't always tell what the kids are into these days. :)

He got the X-box game he's been wanting for awhile. He was so happy!

Kids so cool, they had to wear their shades!

Madison played in the arcade during the movie. A one year-old of course can't sit still long enough for a movie such as this, but I managed to find other things for her to do.

After the party, Jared gave me a big thank you hug for such a fun day! The other Mom's said they might have their kids parties at the movie theater next. I think I've started something now. Ha! If you haven't thrown a birthday party at a movie theater before, look into it for your kids. They will love you for it.

First Birthday Unwrapped

It's all over. We've unwrapped every last gift and ate all the cake. Day's have passed since my Daughter's 1st big birthday party. I'm just now getting to talk about it because things are just so crazy here. We are all getting ready to go back to school, including me. It should make for an interesting year and I hope I can keep up with the kiddo's. I've never put together a child's birthday in the Summer before. My other two have Winter birthday's so we are usually dealing with cold weather. This time we were able to go outside a bit, but I do enjoy my A/C. Ha! All in all Madison's party turned out really cute. I had a lot of fun decorating for this party as usual. I can't wait till the next. Enjoy the picture overload.

Brittany made this wonderful cake for her little Sis. Isn't it pretty? She worked really hard on it. More later on that. This is how it turned out though.

She is now enjoying all her new toys. Especially her new swing that hangs perfectly in the big tree out front. It was a really nice family day. I wish everyone could've been there to celebrate with us.
