Two Months Old

Lookie, Lookie...Look who's two months old today! She's growing so fast and the days are flying by.

What Madison is doing in her 2ND month.

She smiles at everyone.
She is a happy baby in the morning, right after she wakes up and fed.
She can bat at her toys.
She is starting to reach for things.
She can move her head from side to side while on her stomach.
She makes ooh and aah noises in response to our questions.
She loves to listen to you talk to her.
She kicks legs and waves her arms in excitement.
She very interested in everything around her.
She loves to watch the ceiling fans go round and round.
She will follow us with her eyes and turn her head if you walk away from her.
She loves to be naked.
She splashes while she takes a bath.
She nurses after every nap.
She can go through about 10 or more diapers a day.
She likes to be carried looking over your shoulder or facing forward.
She sleeps more through the night. Waking every 3-4 hours to eat.
She in bed around 9pm and up for the day by 6am.
She loves new colorful toys.
She listens to the music that plays in her swing.
She will fall asleep if we put her in the car or in her stroller.
She weighs a heavy 12 lbs now and is wearing a size 2 Huggies diaper.
She fits in size 3/6 month clothing.
She has to have her nails clipped every week. They grow fast.
She can support herself more with her back.
She will grab onto you or pull your shirt/hair while being carried.
She loves her Brother and Sister's room. She stares at all the pretty colors.
She hates it when I'm on the computer and will cry till I log off.
She watches TV when cartoons are on.
She's a lovable little girl and everyone can't get enough of her.

Baby Check-up 39 Weeks

Today is another baby check-up. I'm at 39 weeks and I thought I would've had this baby by now. So does my doctor. He mentioned that if I made it this far, we would talk about enducing this week. When I see him today I wonder if that will happen or will I have to wait another week or two?

Thankfully I don't have to go very far to see my OB Doc. It's right down the street. Look!

It has it's advantages in case anything ever happened while I was pregnant. So far all has been good. The hospital is just about two miles away so I'm close to that as well. It's nice living in a small town sometimes.

I will let you all know what he says after today appointment. Hopefully I'll have some exciting news. Stay tuned!

UPDATE: Back from the doctor and he said that if I don't go into labor this weekend, he will enduce me. Tuesday, July 28th is the big day as of right now. Anything could happen between now and then, but if not then I'm to go to the hospital at 5:30AM to get this show on the road. I am going to be busy, busy getting everything done before next Tuesday. I'll have lots to blog about so check back later.

Baby Swing On It's Way

I just order a really nice baby swing today. It was a little expensive but the reviews are all so positive, I had to get this one. It's the new Fisher-Price Butterfly Garden Cradle and Swing in Pink.

It swings back and forth, side to side. Plays a light show, mobile and has many soothing songs to choose from. Here's a preview of what it will do.

I hope baby Madison loves it as much as I do. We will just have to wait and see.

The Countdown Continues

We have a countdown blackboard displayed in our house. Each day we get a little closer to this babies due date we take off a day. As of today, there is 18 days till the actual due date. I was thinking I'd go sooner rather then later with this one. With the Full Moon last night, I thought something might happen, but no. I'm still preggers and we are still waiting. Oh well...it gives me more time to prepare for this little ones arrival at least.

On another note, we are currently under-construction around this house. My bathroom has been ripped apart and being remodeled.

Why is this going on now? Well there was a leak from the shower that caused a lot of water damage to the walls and floors. It even started to produce mold and I didn't want to fool around with that. Not a healthy environment to bring a newborn into. What seemed like a little job has now turned into a great big one and I hope it gets down before she's here. We are thankful to have a second bathroom, but it's all the way upstairs. So being pregnant and having to pee every two seconds is a real hassle in itself. It requires me to climb those stairs 40 billion times a day. I can't wait till we get our downstairs bathroom back.

The workers relocated out toilet to our outside patio deck. So I feel very redneck having a potty for all to see in our backyard. My Son cracked me up by pretending to use it outside.

He actually said, "Can I get some privacy here please?" He's a riot!

Show us where you live Friday~Nursery

Today is "Show us where you live Friday" over at Kelly's Korner. The many who follow her blog know just what I'm talking about. This week it's all about Nursery's and Children's rooms. So I'm gonna share a little of my babies room. No baby in there yet, but I'm working on getting it ready for her. Here's a look....

The view looking in to the bedroom.

Her cherry finish sleigh crib and pink ladybug bedding.

The wooden letters that spell out her name still need bows tied to the top of the ribbon. But I think they turned out pretty well. It's amazing what you can do with Mod Podge and scrapbook paper. I plan on making more for my other kids bedrooms as well.

The bedding in the crib

Her round night table that I covered in brown with pink/white fabric. Below the table is the stuffed animal bin I made and wicker basket I spray painted pink holds tiny toddler books.

The table just holds a princess lamp, a cute lil' froggy night light and a pretty pink frame waiting for her sweet picture.

A little bookcase that holds various baskets filled with little socks, bibs, bows, hats. On top is her first piggy bank and one of her ultra-sound pics.

Top of the changing table and beside it is our guest bed. The babies room was once just a guest room. I'm leaving the bed in there since I have no where else to store it. It might come in handy if I want to take a nap close to her crib.

A better view of the guest bed.

Inside the cabinet stores all kinds of changing supplies, lotions and potions.

Check out her personalized pacifier. I love anything with her name on it.

One of the drawers is filled with onesies, little pants, gowns, burp cloths and extra diapers.

The other drawer is filled with hooded bath towels and her shoe collection.

Here's some of her little shoes I was putting away in her dresser. Some of these are from when my 13 year old girl was born. They are still in good condition enough to pass to this one.

Her closet also doubles as storage for my craft supplies. So it's pretty full, but I do have her clothes hanging up.

The playpen will eventually be moved to the living room, but right now it's set up in her room. I just love, love these colors. I'm getting the matching stroller & car seat this week. Hopefully the swing and highchair will follow.

The little white shelf that hangs in her room. I didn't know what to hang from the hooks so I just put two cute bibs I had of hers there. One I had embroidered with her name and the other is princess.

I painted ordinary wooden frames white and added pretty scrapbook paper for an easy picture to hang on her wall.

The pretty, pink, baby bouncer I hope she'll love.

The Winnie the Pooh little baby swing I'll probably use upstairs and the big one downstairs.

The extra car seat I picked up in case we need it for another vehicle. It's filled with toys right now because I don't have another place for them all just yet.

Some pictures I hung on the wall are of tiny little yellow booties and a knitting a friend made me that I placed in the other matching frame.

That's it for now folks. This room is still a work in progress but it's looking like a babies room more everyday. Hope you enjoyed the tour.

My Ultra-sound at 31 Weeks

Today I went in for my last ultrasound they tell me. I'm at 31 weeks and nearing the final stretch. I took my kids along with me for this one so they could experience it for themselves. They loved getting a look at their new baby Sister on the way. She was moving her hands and mouth while we watched. The tech measured every part of her and says she looks healthy. I was told she already weighs 4lbs 10 oz. I knew she was going to be another big baby like my other two were. The doctor says she's gonna be on the bigger side of the scale come delivery day. About 8 or 9 pounds he thinks. Ouch! I hope she comes a little early then so I can enjoy a smaller baby. Here are the exciting pictures I went home with. I think she looks a lot like her my Daughter when she was a baby.

Look at those long legs she's got stretched out in there.

Her little legs crossed and the umbilical cord wrapped near her feet.

Her little toes. (The bubble on the right is part of the placenta, not another toe LOL)

We were trying to get a look at her fingers. I swear she opened her hand and threw us the rocker sign. She those two fingers sticking up in the middle of the pic? I think it was a shout out to her Daddy who's a big rocker himself. I think she might take more after him now. We'll see if she's a real Daddy's girl soon.

It's always exciting to see new images of the baby you're caring for soooooo long. Now we wait till we are able to hold her to see how cute she really is. I can't wait.
