House Still Under-Construction

Oh man, is my house still under-construction. It's day 7 now and there are men inside the house and on the outside. What did we get ourselves into? I know this had to be done, but my last few days of this pregnancy is spent listening to noise. The constant banging and doors slamming from 7:30AM to 5PM is really a lot to deal with. Not only is the noise troublesome, the dust and mess it's creating is awful too. I hope they are done before the little one arrives.

Here's what I see around me...

Men on ladders outside my windows hanging the new vinyl siding on the house.

Yes, folks...they are covering up my pretty blue house with this ugly white siding. I'm a bit sad, but we rent so I don't have a choice in the matter or color. I would've picked anything other then white myself.

A trailer full of trash, tools and supplies in my front yard.

A bathroom stripped of all it's luxuries and left bare, down to the drywall.

And somehow my kids still can sleep through the morning hours like these guys are not even here. I don't get it?


Meanwhile, I'm about to pop. I'm not kidding! Look at this belly at 38 weeks!!!

I hope I can hang on a little bit more, or until they are out of the house to deliver.

Calgon take me away!
