End of the Year Teacher's Gift

I never had the chance to blog about the gift I made for my Son's teacher. Before I start blogging about Summer, here is what I did for the end of the school year. I tried my hand at making the teachers a custom clipboard. I think it came out pretty good myself.

I used a gift bag as my inspiration and background for this project.

I added some pretty ribbon to the top.

On the back of the clipboard I personalized it with her name in stickers.

I also got her a few other goodies to go with the clipboard.

It all fit nicely in the bag.

Another happy teacher.

Collecting Indiana Jones Tokens

Photobucket

I'm a sucker when it comes purchasing food products just for the offer on the back. When the Indiana Jones movie came out this Summer just about everything had promotions for Indy product, didn't they. I know this happens every time a big blockbuster movie hits the screen. Cross promoting is a wonderful tool and I love it because I can find tons of things to add to my themed parties. Like I said before, I'm going to be having an Indiana Jones birthday party for my son in a couple of months. I would love to make his little dreams come true by purchasing the cool Indy Canteen offered on the back of this Pop Tarts box. What a nice gift this will make too. So you have to collect the tokens they print on specially marked boxes plus add money for shipping/handling. Thankfully it only requires two tokens for this Canteen, but now I see the DVD they have on the back of the Grips box. I may have to get that too. I'm buying lot a lot more snacks just so I can get me a token or two. Am I crazy to do this or what? I'm sure the companies thank me for my business. :)

I want this Bag!

I saw this Camo/Pink Bag on one of my friends blogs. (Scrap Girlz page actually!) I love it! I want one of my own with USMC Wife name tags on the front. I checked out the girls page who makes these and there is a long waiting list. Not to mention, a bit expensive to have them custom made. So I'm thinking now of trying to make it myself instead. It probably won't look as nice, but it's worth a shot. I have name tapes and some of my husbands old Cammies. Now I just need the time to do it. If I actually make one, I will post a update here.
